Helder Waiandt is a Brazilian-American entrepreneur and executive with a proven track record in energy, energy transition, and innovation, spanning startups, new ventures, commercialization, and cross-border business development. A Houston resident since 2012, he has spent more than a decade building bridges between the Brazilian and U.S. markets, helping companies on both sides connect, cooperate, and grow.
He is Founder and Partner Director of UPTEC Solutions, which connects companies from around the world to the Brazilian market through innovative technologies for industrial maintenance, inspection, asset integrity, and remote monitoring — from market entry strategy to commercial execution. He is also the founder of SWOT Action, a consulting firm that helps small and mid-sized businesses scale in the United States, and of HWTECH Solutions LLC, his U.S.-based company supporting cross-border technology and trade initiatives.
Since 2018 he has served on the Board of Directors of BRATECC (Brazil-Texas Chamber of Commerce), where he is currently Vice President, leading initiatives in communications, business development, and partnerships between Brazil and Texas. He is a Metallurgical Engineer from Ouro Preto’s School of Mines (UFOP), with a specialization from COPPE/UFRJ, an MBA from COPPEAD/UFRJ, and PMP certification. Married and the father of four daughters, he founded the Flamengo consulate “Urubu Texano” in Houston, strengthening Brazilian community and culture in Texas.
